Cheap Samsung Galaxy Note – save over £150 on our tech hot deal

A big mobile phone? A small tablet that makes calls? The word gimmick springs to mind, but customer reviews and sales figures prove that there’s definitely space for this hybrid.

The product specs speak for themselves and they’re clearly saying that this is a premium product. The large 5.3-inch touchscreen has 285 ppi which gives the Galaxy Note a screen clarity that rivals most tablets. It is, however, big. The size does provide ease of use, space to browse and a clear display but it also makes it tricky to use with one hand and weighs almost 180g.

It’s a shame the recent TV campaign focussed solely on the S-Pen as this feature is where the gimmick prevails. Some people may take full advantage of being able to draw on the screen but I think a lot of users will forget the S-Pen is there after the honeymoon period.

An Amazon marketplace seller is currently selling the 16GB sim-free Galaxy Note in dark blue for the tempting price of just £389.95. That’s a massive saving compared to John Lewis and Carphone Warehouse who are selling the Galaxy Note for £549.95 and £599.95 respectively.
