Denmark and Sweden to launch SMS postage stamps

Denmark and Sweden’s postal services are planning to launch a system that lets you buy stamps via SMS on your mobile phone.
Danes and Swedes will soon be able to send a text message to their postal service and receive a texted code in return, which can then be written on any letter or small parcels as proof of purchase.
The Swedish postal service hopes that the system will make it much easier for people to use snail mail. It also said that it doesn’t believe that it’s any more vulnerable to forgery than traditional postage stamps.
SMS postage stamps are scheduled to launch in Denmark on 1 April and Sweden later in the year.
What do you guys think? Is this the death of the postage stamp? Would you like to see a similar system come to the UK? Let us know in the comments below.
