Images and details on Motorola’s follow-up to the Android-powered Cliq (known as the Dext in the UK) have been leaked online.

The leaked images were obtained by Cellphone Signal, which says the Cliq 2 will feature a 5Mp camera, aGPS, Bluetooth 2.1, wi-fi and possibly HSDPA + connectivity.

Like the original Dext the Cliq 2 packs a full Qwerty keyboard, only this time around it boasts a distinctive black and gold design, which as Cellphone Signal points out, looks suspiciously like a honeycomb.

Does this mean the Dext 2 will launch with Android 2.4 (code named Honeycomb)? Well if the rumoured release date of 19 January is correct then we doubt it, afterall Android 2.3 has only just been released. But weirder things have happened.

The Motorola Cliq/Dext 2 should get an official unveiling at CES in Las Vegas next month and we’ll be blogging live from the show floor to bring you all the latest.
