A British designer has unveiled the most expensive mobile phone in the world. It’s an iPhone 4 (surprise, surprise) and is encrusted with more than 500 diamonds.
The phone’s ‘home’ button is fitted with a rare pink 7.4 carat diamond and an 8 carat single cut flawless diamond. The back is gold plated and the Apple logo alone is made of 53 diamonds. No one needs that many diamonds.
The price tag is (drumroll) a rather ridiculous £5 million.
Stuart Hughes was commissioned to design two versions of the phone by an unnamed Australian businessman.
“It is amazing that someone is prepared to spend £5 million on a phone,” Stuart told the Daily Mail. “It was a fantastic challenge and I am really pleased with the end result – the phones look superb.”
Ah, but did you fix the antenna problem Stuart? Didn’t think so.
