The best LG mobile phones

LG might not be as big as its fellow Korean manufacturer Samsung, but that doesn’t mean it can’t make a decent mobile.
One of the first manufacturers to get behind the touchscreen craze LG produced some great phones but were a little slow to embrace Android and we didn’t see too many good handsets for a while.
But since they’ve caught up and we’re now starting to see some really exciting models.
LG Optimus 2X
One of the first smartphones to hit the market sporting a fancy dual-core processor, the Optimus 2X excelled in our lab tests and was a clear Best Buy.
All that processing power isn’t wasted either – with the 2X capable of both recording and playing back full 1080p HD video.
Despite its impressive set of features, the Optimus 2X isn’t extortionately expensive.
LG Optimus 7
Running Microsoft’s new slick operating system Windows Phone 7, the Optimus 7 packs in some impressive hardware and was awarded Which? Best Buy status when we put it to the test.
Keeping to Microsoft’s minimum hardware requirements means it sports a 1GHz processor, 5Mp camera and capacitive touchscreen with an impressive 480×800 resolution. It is also capable of recording video in 720p HD quality.
LG Optimus One
If you want to get in on the smartphone action but don’t want to mortgage your house to pay for it, the Optimus One offers an alternative.
The Optimus One is also a good performer – not being a million miles away from being a Best Buy in our tests – picking up reasonable scores for a lot of its features.
LG Optimus 3D
Not only the first ever 3D smartphone to hit the market, according to LG the Optimus 3D is also the world’s most powerful smartphone. Apparently this is thanks to its processor which is not only dual-core, but also dual-channel and dual-memory.
Capable of displaying 3D content without the need of specialised glasses, the Optimus 3D can also record 3D video using its dual-lens camera.
We haven’t managed to get it into our labs for testing just yet, but we were very impressed with our hands-on time at Mobile World Congress and we have high hopes it will perform well.

I wonder why Which keeps using phrases like “from £25 a month”. This largely meaningless without length of contract and number of minutes & txt’s per month. Why don’t you publish the Sim Free price or at least publish some meaningful price data.
