LG Star twinkles again

More pictures of the LG Star have appeared. The good news: it has an HDMI port. The bad news: it’s only running Android Froyo.
The released pictures come from website Phandroid and apparently show the LG Star – which is rumoured to feature a dual-core processor - outperforming phones including the Google Nexus One, the Motorola Droid (known as the Milestone in Europe) and the Samsung Galaxy S.
We were particularly impressed by the photographer’s ingenious use of a toilet roll as a phone stand to get the best angle of the HDMI port.
The inclusion of the port is certainly exciting, and although it is a shame that the pictures show the handset running Froyo, this could well be upgraded to the upcoming Gingerbread before launch.
These new rumours support the previous suggestions that the LG Star will feature a Tegra 2 processor, which would make it the most powerful handset on the market today.
