After submitting the Motorola Razr to our rigorous lab tests we have awarded the Android smartphone Best Buy status.

Despite having such a slim frame Motorola has squeezed in some impressive features and our testers were particularly impressed with the Razr’s camera – although the quality of the video recorder was particularly disappointing for a phone that can record in 1080p resolution.

Like other Android devices the Razr is easy to use and although it lacks the latest version of the operating system – Ice Cream Sandwich found on the Samsung Galaxy Nexus – Motorola is likely to release an update for the software in the coming months.

Browsing the internet is easy thanks to the generous 4.3-inch screen and HSDPA connectivity – but battery life online is a little short even though the Razr managed a good result for battery life on calls.

Our testers were also impressed with the quality of the music player, with the supplied headphones offering good levels of bass and the player itself being easy to use.
