First look review of the Nokia E6

Nokia E6

The Nokia E6 is the latest handset from the Finnish company aimed at professionals. We take a look a look to see if it does the business.

The first thing you notice upon picking up the E6 is that Nokia has created a well put together handset. The slim metal case and glass screen not only look attractive, they also give the E6 a reassuringly solid feel.

The keypad is also fairly generous for a phone of its type, although some might find the keys a little too small and awkward to use.

As well as its Qwerty keyboard, the Nokia E6 can be controlled through the touchscreen – although as this is only 2.4-inches across diagonally it’s pretty small and fiddly to use.

The E6 runs on the latest version of Nokia’s Symbian operating system, strangely titled ‘Anna’. This is a slight improvement on previous Symbian incarnations, but it still isn’t as slick or as user friendly as other smartphone operating systems.
