Sony Ericsson X12 surfaces

A new Sony Ericsson phone has been spotted and it’s rumoured to be the Xperia X12.

The handset, code-named Anzu, will feature a 4.3-inch screen and HDMI-output suggesting it will also pack some hefty multimedia features.

There are also whispers it will be the first handset to feature the newest version of Android called Gingerbread (v2.3 or v3.0 depending on who you listen to), but the current snaps only show it running version 2.1.

It looks fairly similar to its older sibling the X10, but slightly slimmer and sleeker.

There is talk of an early 2011 launch, but a liberal dose of salt might be required for this one.
