Apple has sent out invites to a number of journalists for an event to be held next week, claiming that the company has something that really needs to be seen and touched, which sounds to us like we’ll soon be seeing the arrival of the iPad 3.
Speculation that the iPad 3 would be unveiled on 7 March has been gathering weight for sometime, and now it’s all but been confirmed.
The image on the invite strongly suggests that the announcement next Wednesday at 6pm will be the unveiling of the next iPad, however we’re none the wiser as to whether it will be called the iPad 3, or the iPad 2S, or anything else for that matter.
Head over to our iPad 3 launch liveblog for live coverage of the event from 5pm UK time.
