Ikea announces all-in-one TV solution – Uppleva [Video]
The Ikea Uppleva, a new all-in-one television solution, combines a full HD smart TV with a piece of more traditionally Ikea styled furniture. This furniture/TV stand houses its own built in Blu-ray, DVD and CD player plus a 2.1 sound system with wireless sub woofer – meaning not one cable is left in sight.
Ikea Uppleva Features
The TV part of the Uppleva is well-specified, with a 1080p HD LED flat screen, built-in wireless connectivity plus four HDMI and two USB ports. The Blu-ray, DVD and CD player can be accessed using the same control as the TV remote which, interestingly, does not have any numeric buttons.
The product as a whole looks very clean and there has obviously been much effort given in making this as simple to use as possible. No UK launch date or price has been announced yet but it will be available in mainland Europe from June this year. We’ll be sure to put it through our test lab as soon as we can get our hands on one.

At Last an sort of Apple approach to a media set up hopefully not at an Apple price..well done Ikea for dealing with the obvious problem of the plethora of gadgets and cables!!!!
