HTC has revealed its latest flagship smartphone and the next device as part of its tie up with Beats Audio, the Sensation XL.
Sporting a more than generous 4.7-inch screen and 1.5GHz single core processor, the XL looks very much like an Android version of the HTC Titan – just with fancy headphones.
- 4.7-inch capacitive touchscreen
- 1.5GHz single core processor
- 786MB Ram
- Android Gingerbread OS
- HTC Sense 3.5
- Beats Audio headphones
- 8Mp camera
- 16GB internal storage memory
The Sensation XL uses the same Beats Audio software found in the HTC Sensation XE to tailor the way it plays music according to which set of headphones are plugged in, and a limited edition will also come with a larger set of Solo headphones, rather than the in-ear buds.
Unlike most HTC smartphones you won’t be able to expand the internal storage memory as it doesn’t have a microSD slot – although there will be over 12GB of the memory available to the user.
The device has a nice weight and feel to it, with an aluminium body and glass front. It will only be available in white.
The Sensation XL should make it to market around November, and it is expected to cost slightly more than the Sensation XE. We don’t have any news yet on network availability.
